Vol. 338 No. 3

Written Answers. - Aer Rianta and Aer Lingus Shannon Redundancies.

395.

asked the Minister for Labour the number of statutory redundancies claimed by Aer Rianta at Shannon, County Clare for 1980, 1981 and 1982 to date.

Claims for rebate under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 1979, were received in my Department from Aer Rianta in respect of statutory redundancy lump sum payments made to workers made redundant at Shannon, County Clare, in 1980, 1981 and 1982 as follows:

1980

1981

1982

Number of Workers

1

32*

20

* One of the workers included was over the statutory age limit to qualify for a statutory redundancy lump sum payment and, therefore, rebate was not allowed in that case.

396.

asked the Minister for Labour the number of statutory redundancies claimed by Aer Lingus at Shannon, County Clare for 1980, 1981 and 1982 to date.

No claims for rebate under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 1979, were received in my Department from Aer Lingus, Shannon, County Clare, in respect of the years 1980, 1981 and 1982 to date.
