Vol. 338 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Eligibility for Medication.

414.

asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in Dublin who is a widow and an old age pensioner, will no longer be eligible to have a medication (details supplied) prescribed by her doctor on her medical card.

The item in question does not require a doctor's prescription and is accordingly no longer supplied free of charge under the medical card scheme. If the person concerned feels that its purchase will cause her hardship, she should contact her local health board office who will give sympathetic attention to such cases.
