No non-established civil servants were appointed by me or by my Minister of State on either a full or part time basis in the period up to 26 January 1983.
My predecessor appointed, as personal assistant, an officer seconded from his position of telephone superintendent in the Department of Posts and Telegraphs. During the period in question this officer was paid additional remuneration at the rate of £2,500 a year.
asked the Minister for Health if any agencies, companies or individuals of a consultancy, advisory or publicity nature have been appointed by him or his Minister of State up to 26 January, 1983; and if so, if he will give full details of such appointments in respect of remuneration etc.
