Vol. 339 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

996.

asked the Minister for Education if it is her policy to forbid a child to get on as school bus because he did not have his bus ticket on his person.

Each pupil availing of transport under the school transport scheme is required to have a valid travel permit in his or her possession when travelling to and from school. If a pupil exceptionally and genuinely forgets to bring the travel permit, CIE may, at its discretion, allow the pupil to travel on a school bus on that occasion.
