Vol. 339 No. 4

Written Answers. - House Grants Payments.

429.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied. This inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

430.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant and a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

A new house grant will be paid when it is established that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with by the person named. The mortgage subsidy application is presently under examination.

431.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant and a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This application for the grant was rejected in 1980 because the floor area of the house exceeds the maximum area allowable for grant purposes (1,346 sq. ft.). The applicant was so informed. He did not apply for the mortgage subsidy which, incidentally, was not introduced until April 1981 and in any event is payable only in respect of grant-type houses.

432.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in regard to a £1,000 new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

An application form for a new house grant and mortgage subsidy was received on 16 September 1982. The applicant was requested on 29 September to submit additional documentation which is a necessary part of an application. When this is received, his application will be examined.
