Vol. 339 No. 5

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

274.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of telephones out of order in the Clontarf telephone district, Dublin; and if he intends to take any action to reduce the level of breakdown in this area.

About 300, most of which will be cleared within a week. A major programme of preventive maintenance, including cable pressurisation, is in progress. This should result in a significant reduction in the incidence of faults in Dublin city generally, including Clontarf.
