The fishery harbour improvement programme for 1983 cannot be finalised pending completion of a review of the published financial allocations which is at present being undertaken by the Government.
Can the Minister ensure that we have a speedy settlement to this problem as the silt level is causing great hardship to the fishermen of this area?
I appreciate that. I am involved also in that problem under my other hat in relation to the Department of the Gaeltacht, and the Deputy can be assured of a speedy solution provided the finances are available.
