Vol. 340 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

232.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

This grant will be paid shortly.

233.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in regard to a £1,000 grant and a mortgage subsidy application from a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The file in this case is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to the allocation of a new house grant and mortgage subsidy, if in order.

234.

asked the Minister for the Environment if any money is due to a person (details supplied) in County Galway under the house improvement scheme.

A grant for the provision of a water supply cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out.

An application for a grant for the provision of sewerage facilities will be further considered on the receipt of confirmation from the applicant that the existing septic tank is defective. The Department have written to him in this matter.
