Vol. 340 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Wexford Employment Creation.

243.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy his proposals for employment creation in the (a) Enniscorthy area, (b) Wexford area, (c) Gorey area and (d) New Ross area of County Wexford.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that during the past three years it has approved over 170 industrial projects in County Wexford involving a fixed asset investment of almost £130m. Many of these projects have been implemented, such as, ABS Pumps, Schopp Velours, Lett & Company, Limited, Theo Benning Limited, National Aluminium and Roplasto Limited in Wexford town, Bemico in New Ross and Wexal Limited, in Enniscorthy. These projects will continue to provide further new jobs over the next few years.

I propose, to circulate in the official report a tabular statement giving details of facilities available for industrial promotion in the towns mentioned by the Deputy in his question.

Following is the statement.
