I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a cheque for £277.62 in settlement of the 1981-82 overpayment in this case will be issued shortly.
The inspector of taxes is awaiting the submission from the taxpayer's former employer of details of pay and tax for the current year, 1982-83, which would enable any sum overpaid to be refunded.
