The scheme of improvements at Belderrig Harbour has been approved by the Department of Fisheries and Forestry and by Mayo County Council. Subject to the allocation of funds by the Department and the county council, the Commissioners of Public Works expect to be in a position to commence work on the scheme next summer.

asked the Minister for Finance when work will commence on necessary works to Rathlackan Pier, County Mayo, for which funds have been sanctioned.
Proposals for improvement works at Rathlackan pier have been approved by the Department of Fisheries and Forestry and Mayo County Council. A further survey will be carried out shortly to determine the present extent of the boulder problem near the pier. Until the findings of this survey are known and the necessary funds made available by the Department, I cannot say when the works at Rathlackan will commence.
