The scheme in question is a small public water scheme provided by Kerry County Council. The council have informed my Department that the scheme, as designed, did not include for the provision of a water supply to the house of the person referred to by the Deputy. It is, however, open to that person to contact Kerry County Council with a view to making a connection to the public water supply, at his own expense.
The connection may qualify for a house improvement grant from my Department and details of the grant are being sent to the person concerned.
