asked the Minister for Transport if he will furnish Deputies with copies of the report of his Department's inquiry which was ordered by his predecessor into the sinking of the Clogherhead trawler Sharelga by a British submarine.

309.

asked the Minister for Transport if he was satisfied with the co-operation given by the British naval authorities to the inspector who conducted the inquiry into the sinking of the trawler Sharelga; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 308 and 309 together. Reports of preliminary inquiries into marine casualties carried out by officers of my Department are treated as confidential.
