The estimated number of persons at work in agriculture, forestry and fishing in April of each year from 1979 to 1982 is as follows: 1979 — 221,000; 1980 — 212,000; 1981 — 201,000; 1982 — 196,000.
These figures are provisional pending the availability of the final results of the 1981 Census of Population and the results of the 1983 Labour Force Survey.
