asked the Minister for Health the ratio of medical staff to patients in each of the general hospitals in the Southern Health Board area.

I presume the Deputy is seeking information in relation to patients treated. The ratio of medical staff to patients treated in each of the general hospitals in the Southern Health Board area is as follows:—

Tralee General Hospital

1 doctor to 1081 patients

Bantry General Hospital

1 doctor to 681 patients

Mallow General Hospital

1 doctor to 849 patients

Cork Regional Hospital

1 doctor to 517 patients

Mercy Hospital, Cork

1 doctor to 848 patients

North Infirmary, Cork

1 doctor to 574 patients

South Infirmary, Cork

1 doctor to 763 patients
