I understand that tenders for the boys' and girls' national schools' building projects at Duleek, County Meath, are under consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works. The provision of a post-primary school at Ashbourne, County Meath, has been approved by my Department. Negotiations for the purchase of a suitable site are proceeding.

Architectural planning of the project will be commenced as soon as agreement is reached on the purchase price of the site. A decision on the type of management the new school will have does not arise at the present time.
