Vol. 340 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Dublin Road Improvements.

439.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide the necessary moneys to finance the completion of the Fonthill-Newlands road from the roundabout at Neilstown to Newlands Cross, County Dublin.

Dublin County Council have been advised that there are no prospects of road grants being available for the project to which the Deputy refers. However, there are current proposals for improvements to the existing Lucan-Clondalkin Road, in association with the construction of the section of the Western Parkway from Naas Road to Lucan Road, and the construction of a new road linking the existing Lucan-Clondalkin Road with this section of the Western Parkway, which should provide substantial relief to traffic in this area.
