: There is no vacant postman post at Inistioge to which an appointment can be made. In accordance with longstanding policy to motorise rural deliveries, a part-time post at Inistioge sub-post office, which became vacant on 31 May 1982 was amalgamated with a full-time cycle post at Graiguenamanagh to form a motorised delivery post based at Graiguenamanagh. This arrangement has reduced the cost of delivery and, overall, scheduled delivery times in the Inistioge area have been improved
