Vol. 341 No. 1

Written Answers . - Citizenship Application .

709.

asked the Minister for Justice when an application for citizenship by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will be granted.

, Limerick East): The person concerned did not appear to fulfil all the conditions for naturalisation which are set out in the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1956 (No. 26 of 1956) when he applied for naturalisation in June 1982. He was informed that a decision on his application had been deferred.

Information has now been received which, subject to the usual check, would suggest that the particular difficulty has been overcome.

The application will be dealt with on the new basis as quickly as possible.
