asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the increasing crime in the Rolestown area, County Dublin, particularly in the matter of house burglaries; and the action he intends to take in the matter.

, Limerick East): The precise arrangements for policing particular areas are a matter for the Garda authorities. They have informed me that the Rolestown area, which is part of the Swords Garda sub-district, is receiving constant attention. They have also informed me that seven extra gardaí and one sergeant have been allocated to Swords station since January 1983 and the question of further increasing the strength will be considered according as the additional manpower currently in training becomes available. I also understand from the Garda authorities that Swords station is open on a 24-hour basis since 17 January 1983.
