asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has received an application for a farm modernisation scheme grant from a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and, if so, when the application will be approved.
: An application for admission to the farm modernisation scheme was recently received by ACOT. It is understood that the only investment contemplated is on farm buildings. As announced in the budget, grants under the scheme, for buildings and fixed assets have been suspended until later in the year. ACOT may proceed with the processing of the application but grant aid will not be made available for buildings and fixed assets for the duration of the suspension.
