Vol. 341 No. 4

Supplementary Estimates, 1983 . - Division Bells: Statement by Ceann Comhairle .

: The Superintendent of the House checked the division bells and reported to me that the bell was not working in room 122 for the last division.

: The bell did not operate in Room 610 either.

: The entire House is now being checked.

: The Deputy got here just the same.

: On a point of order, it is now 2.35 p.m. and there is only one hour allocated for questions. At 3.30 p.m. you will do your duty and call the next business. Could you make some arrangement so that we would have at least one hour for questions? There are hundreds of questions on the Order Paper.

: We could do many things by agreement. If, at the end of Question Time it is desired, by agreement, to extend Question Time by five minutes, that can be done. I will deal with that when we come to it.
