asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will take immediate steps to restore a telephone service for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 14 whose telephone has been out of order since December 1981.

: Service will be restored within a week or so.

536.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored to persons (details supplied) in Dublin 3 who are old age pensioners.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service for business purposes will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a telephone service for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who had already paid the installation fee.

: Terms have been quoted to the person named and it is expected that service will be provided within about three months after the necessary agreement has been signed.

There is no record that the applicant has made any payment. If the Deputy can furnish additional information in this regard e.g. when and where the money was paid, further inquiry will be made.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will ensure that a doctor (details supplied) in County Louth will have a continuous telephone service.

: Regrettably there were three faults of short duration due to a rearrangement and renewal of cables in the area recently.

The rearrangement work has now been completed, and it is expected that service should be satisfactory from now on.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will correct a telephone account for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will improve his telephone service.

: There is no record of the receipt of any query about his telephone account from the subscriber in question and no grounds are seen for amending the accounts. The quality of service will improve considerably when the new digital trunk exchange in Waterford is brought into service this summer.
