Vol. 341 No. 5

Written Answers . - County Tipperary Drainage Scheme .

501.

asked the Minister for Finance if in the process of carrying out the Maigue drainage scheme, County Tipperary, which is proceeding at present he will ensure that the areas of Lissobihane and Breansha will not be omitted and that the drainage scheme will be expanded to include these areas as their omission would ensure that one-third of the parish of Emly, County Tipperary, would be left undrained.

: A formal application for the inclusion of channels serving the Lissobihane and Breansha areas in the Maigue catchment drainage scheme was received by the Commissioners of Public Works on 1 March, 1983. The channels are being examined to determine if their inclusion in the scheme would be warranted. However, due to present commitments, it will be some time yet before the examination is completed and a decision made.
