asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone exchange for the Castleconnell area of County Limerick will begin operation.

: It is expected that the new telephone exchange will be brought into service in the third quarter of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will ensure that a telephone belonging to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin which has been continually out of order for the past number of months is repaired immediately.

: Service has been restored and is now satisfactory.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone kiosk for Cullenstown Village, County Wexford, will be provided as the only telephone service available is in a bar which limits its use.

: The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for persons (details supplied) in County Wexford.

: A survey is being carried out to ascertain when service can be provided for the persons named. The applicants will be advised of the result of the survey as soon as it is completed.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the necessary stores will become available in order to proceed with the erection of a telephone kiosk at Littlegrague Cross, Fethard-on-Sea, New Ross, County Wexford.

: It is expected that the necessary stores to provide the kiosk at Littlegrague Cross will become available during the second half of 1983.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who has received excessive telephone accounts over the last number of months.

: This subscriber's telephone accounts have been rechecked and were found to be correct as issued.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who paid his deposit of £290 in September 1982.

: When the person named was invited to sign an agreement and make advance payment it was expected that telephone service would be provided for him within about three months. Regrettably this was not possible because of a cable fault which came to light at the installation stage. This is having attention and it is expected that service will be provided within about a month.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

: Service will be provided for the person named as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed before the latter part of this year. It had been expected that the work to enable service to be provided would be completed earlier. Regrettably this was not possible because of the need to divert staff to other urgent work.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the new telephone exchange at a location (details supplied) in County Westmeath will become operative; and the number of new lines it will serve.

: It is expected that the new telephone exchange at the location named will be brought into service in the third quarter of this year. It will have an initial capacity to serve 512 subscribers' lines and will replace the existing 350 line exchange.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the new telephone exchange at a location (details supplied) in County Westmeath will become operative; the number of new lines this exchange will serve; and if there are any existing spare lines at that exchange.

: It is expected that the new telephone exchange at the location named will be brought into service in the first half of next year. It will have an initial capacity to serve 160 subscribers lines and will replace the existing 100 line exchange on which there are two spare terminations.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if this will be expedited having regard to the fact that it is now over two months since the deposit was paid.

: It is expected that service will be provided for the person named within about a month.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin as all cabling has been completed in the estate but no telephone has yet been provided.

: Further cabling work between the estate named and the telephone exchange is necessary to enable telephone service to be provided for the person named. It is expected that service will be provided within about a year.
