asked the Minister for Health if he will give in tabular form the following information in respect of his Department so that it can be established that the cut-backs in civil service staffing have been effectively and fairly spread as between the different grades and the various categories of personnel; (a) the number of approved posts on 18 July 1981; (b) the number of posts filled on 18 February 1983; and (c) the percentage of approved posts vacant on 1 February 1983 in each of the following grades:— secretary, deputy secretary, assistant secretary, principal officer, assistant principal officer, higher executive officer, and executive officer; and if he will give similar information in respect of professional and technical officers at principal officer to executive officer level inclusive (either directly linked or closely related to the general administrative grades referred to).
