, Limerick East): I am advised by the Garda Commissioner that he is satisfied that the provision of an effective Garda service for the areas of Newcastle, Rathcoole and Saggart does not at present require their incorporation in the Garda Dublin Metropolitan Area. He considers that the present arrangements make the best use of Garda resources. The policing of these areas, and indeed of all developing areas around Dublin city, is kept under constant review.
