asked the Taoiseach the total imports of potatoes in 1982; their cost; and the countries from which they were imported.

(Dún Laoghaire): The total imports of potatoes in all forms amounted to 111,233 tonnes, valued at £26.4 million. I propose to circulate a statement giving the more detailed information requested.

: Can the Minister give me a breakdown of the countries from which they were imported?

(Dún Laoghaire): The Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and a small amount from other countries.

: What about Cyprus?

(Dún Laoghaire): That is included under “other”.
