asked the Minister for Education when urgent repairs will be carried out to Beheymore national school, Ballina, County Mayo.

: I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that a detailed examination is being carried out by them concerning improvement works to Beheymore national school, Ballina, County Mayo, and that they will furnish a report to my Department as soon as possible. There will be no delay on the part of my Department in dealing with this report.

asked the Minister for Education when she will sanction the construction of additional rooms at Breaffy national school, Ballina, County Mayo.

: I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that sketch-plans for the proposed extension to Breaffy national school, Ballina, are under examination in their office at present. When the plans have been forwarded to my Department, they will be examined without delay. It is not possible to state when building work may commence.

asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to erect the new school at Mount Pleasant, Claremorris, County Mayo; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

: Sketch-plans for the new school at Mount Pleasant, Ballyglass, were approved by my Department in January, 1982.

Documentary evidence of title to the site has been submitted to my Department and will be forwarded to the chief state solicitor for examination. When satisfactory title has been established, a grant towards the cost of the school will be sanctioned.

It is not possible to state at this stage when building work may commence.
