asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in issuing headage payments to a person (details supplied) in County Longford; the amount due to him; and when it will be paid.

: There was no delay in this case. The person named was paid his cattle headage grant under the 1982 Disadvantaged Areas Schemes on 24 January 1983. He was not considered eligible for payment of 1981 grant as he had contravened the provisions of the Livestock Breeding Act, 1925.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying a farm modernisation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath as the work has been completed and the application made since last autumn.

: The grant will be paid shortly together with a number of other grants certified about the same time.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying a national subsidy scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the amount due to him; and when payment will be made.

: An interest subsidy of £200 was paid in this case on 16 February 1983.
