Vol. 341 No. 9

Written Answers . - Wexford Harbour Facilities .

648.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will agree in view of the great local interest and commitment to the development of Wexford harbour and of the great need to provide amenities in Wexford town, to fund the proposals in respect of main drainage, car parking facilities and a marina in Wexford harbour.

: Approval to the preparation of a full preliminary report on the first stage of the Wexford main drainage scheme issued to the local authority on 15 February 1982. The first stage consists of a trunk interceptor sewer along the quay and a treatment works and outfall. This report is now awaited in the Department. Financing of the scheme will not arise until it has been fully planned and approved.

There are no proposals in my Department for a car park or marina.
