Vol. 341 No. 9

Written Answers . - Employment Incentive Scheme Payments .

668.

asked the Minister for Labour when payment under the Employment Incentive Scheme will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

: Under the Employment Incentive Scheme employers are required to apply in advance to my Department for permission to participate in the scheme before recruiting the employees in respect of whom they are seeking assistance. The published conditions of the scheme refer specifically to this requirement. The employer recruited the worker in question before making application and in the circumstances would not qualify for payments under the scheme.
