Written Answers . - Tax Rebate .

744.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the repayment claim submitted by the taxpayer's agents in this case did not include all the information required by the inspector of taxes to process the claim. The inspector has written to the taxpayer's agents to clarify the outstanding matters. When the necessary particulars are supplied the claim will be re-examined and any refund found due will be made to the taxpayer.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the tax position in this case for the year 1982-83 must be considered, by reference to the aggregation provisions in section 194 of the Income Tax Act, 1967, in conjunction with the income arising to the spouse.

The taxpayer's spouse has also submitted a claim to repayment of tax and the inspector of taxes is awaiting a reply to inquiries from the spouse's agents. When these necessary particulars are supplied to the inspector, the claim will be re-examined and any refund found due will be made.
