Vol. 342 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inishboffin (Galway) Pier.

34.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the continuing hardship to Inishboffin islanders, County Galway, due to the lack of proper landing facilities for vessels carrying passengers and goods to the island; and if he will confirm that the Government will proceed with the construction of a new pier which has been designed by the Office of Public Works and approved by Galway County Council.

The work of providing a new pier at Inishboffin will be put in hands as soon as the necessary preliminaries are completed and the required funds allocated.
