asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The file is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to payment of the grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection in respect of a new house grant will be carried out as requested some time ago by a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

My Department are awaiting the submission of a Form SL4 which the applicant in this case has been requested to complete and have certified by his inspector of taxes. An inspection will be arranged when this is received.

640.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason housing reconstruction grants under the old scheme were not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if on reconsideration he will arrange to pay these grants.

A house improvement grant cannot be allowed in this case because the works commenced prior to the operative date of the scheme — 1 November 1977.

The applicant has been so informed.
