asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange that grant approval will be issued for farm buildings to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in view of the fact that his herd has been "locked up" since early February under his Department's disease eradication scheme; and if he will treat this as an exceptional case.

There is no record of an application for grant aid under the farm modernisation scheme from the person mentioned.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a grant for milking equipment under the farm modernisation scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The grant will be paid when the work has been satisfactorily completed and provided that the other conditions of the scheme have been complied with.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of applications in County Kerry for grant aid under the western drainage scheme waiting for approval on 31 December 1982.

There were 1,991 applications under the western drainage scheme awaiting investigation in County Kerry on 31 December 1982.
