asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry (1) (a) the total money due by fishermen to BIM on foot of boats held by them under contract with BIM, as at 31 March 1983; (b) the total money due by BIM to the Exchequer on foot of Central Fund advances received by it for the financing of fishing boats as at 31 March 1983; (c) the total amount of Exchequer guarantees given to the banks on foot of advances made by the banks to fishermen as at 31 March 1983; (2) the arrears, if any, of payments to the Exchequer on foot of Central Fund advances as at 31 March 1983; (3) the number of young boys who have passed through the board's fish training college in Greencastle, County Donegal, for the three years ended 31 March 1983; (4) the number of such trainees now working on fishing boats throughout the country; (5) the number of trainees who were employed by fishermen on their boats as at 31 March 1983; and (6) the total cost of administering the training scheme in Greencastle for each of the three years ended 31 December 1982.
