Vol. 342 No. 10

Written Answers. - Dunkellin (Galway) Drainage Scheme.

698.

asked the Minister for Finance the funds available for arterial drainage in the Vote for Public Works and Buildings which have been re-apportioned to allow the specialist studies to be carried out as mentioned in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 8 of 5 May 1983.

There is a provision of £295,000 in the Vote for Public Works and Buildings for "comprehensive drainage surveys". Expenditure on the special studies being carried out in connection with the Dunkellin scheme is being met from that provision and I can assure the Deputy that the funds available are adequate to enable the studies to continue for the remainder of the year.
