Vol. 343 No. 1

Written Answers. - Licenced Road Hauliers.

612.

asked the Minister for Transport the number of limited licence road hauliers in Dublin; and if he will list the hauliers so licenced.

A total of 151 road hauliers in Dublin (including County Dublin) hold licences carrying a restriction.

Of that number 116 hold merchandise licences, particulars of which are contained in a Register of Merchandise Licences kept in my Department which can be inspected by any person on payment of a fee of £1.

47 hold restricted road freight licences restricted to the carriage of merchandise from or to a place within the State to or from a place outside the State. I am arranging to have a list of these hauliers forwarded to the Deputy. 12 hauliers hold licences in both categories.
