The number of persons registered as unemployed at the local offices in question was as follows:—
Cobh, 559 on 29 April 1983; 428 on 30 April 1982; Midleton, 1,044 on 29 April 1983; 757 on 30 April 1982; Youghal, 714 on 29 April 1983; 507 on 30 April 1982.
The live register count in April 1983 was taken on the 29th of the month, and in April 1982 on the 30th of the month.
