I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the goods were seized by Customs because many of the items, although declared as used effects being imported on transfer of residence, were found on examination to be new and unused. A reply to representations on behalf of the person concerned was issued recently conveying conditions which, if accepted, will enable the goods to be released.
