asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Galway who has paid the connection fee since October 1982.

It is expected that service will be provided within about two months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin, and if he will be compensated for the time when the telephone was out of order.

Service will be restored within a few days. A rebate of rental will be allowed.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the end of this year.

The provision of a public telephone kiosk at Cahermore housing estate, Cahermore, Rosscarbery, County Cork, is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed, therefore, to provide one there.

A survey is being carried out to ascertain when service can be provided. The applicant will be advised of the result of the survey as soon as it is completed.

The golf club named already has telephone service. Records indicate that an application for an additional line was cancelled by the club.

The answer is no. The accounts in question were rechecked and found to be correct as issued. The meter and associated equipment were also checked and found to be in good working order.

Service will be provided as soon as possible for the person named but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the end part of this year.

The provision of a public telephone kiosk to service the Millrose estate exclusively is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed, therefore, to provide one there.

It is, however, planned to provide an additional kiosk at La Touche Road to serve the general area including Millrose estate.

It is expected that service will be provided for the person named within about a month.

Service has been restored. There have been a number of different faults over the past two years on this subscriber's line which were cleared as they arose. The most recent outtage was due to an underground cable fault.
