(Dún Laoghaire): The value of carcases and half carcases exported in 1982 was £37 million. Carcases are recorded by weight but not by number. I propose to circulate a statement showing the details of tonnages and countries of destination.

The relevant heading in the trade statistics covers both carcases and half carcases of sheep and goats. Exports of goat carcases are understood to be nil or negligible.
Could the Minister inform me if there has been any increase in exports from 1981 to 1982?
