Limerick East): The average gross pay including overtime for all persons in the Prison Service whose salaries are paid by my Department was:- 1980, £11,410; 1981, £13,470; 1982, £15,250.
The estimated average gross pay including overtime for these persons in 1983 is £16,240.
In calculating these averages personnel paid on a fee basis and those paid by other Departments, such as teachers, are not included.
