asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange with Kerry County Council to provide public lighting at Gortamullen, Kenmare, County Kerry; and if he will make a 100 per cent grant available from his Department for this project in view of the fact that the area concerned is on the national secondary road between Kenmare and the industrial estate on the Sneem Road out of Kenmare.

The question of public lighting at Gortamullen is a matter for the road authority, Kerry County Council. If and when such a proposal is submitted to my Department, the question of making a grant will be considered.
