Vol. 344 No. 4

Written Answers. - Gael Scoil, Inchicore.

698.

asked the Minister for Finance if the tunnelling for a main sewerage for Dublin County Council which is being undertaken at Islandbridge Memorial Park will affect the design, layout and construction of Gael Scoil, Inchicore on the site previously arranged by contractors for the building of the school.

699.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that permission to excavate land in the Memorial Park, Islandbridge, Dublin on the section of ground allocated to Gael Scoil, Inchicore, was given by the Office of Public Works and that this information was not communicated to another section of that Office which was carrying out soil testing investigations so that the planning for the school could proceed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 698 and 699 together. In February, 1980 the Office of Public Works granted permission to Dublin County Council to lay a pipe run through the Inchicore North Estate to serve the greater Dublin sewerage scheme.

The wayleaves granted will only affect portion of the site proposed for Gael Scoil, Inchicore, and will not interfere in any respect with the design, planning or construction of the school.
