I presume the Deputy is referring to grants to regional game councils in support of local game development schemes. The relevant amounts for the years 1980 to 1982 are as follows: 1980, £119,647; 1981, £110,535; 1982, £70,321.
It was not possible to allocate funds for this purpose in 1983 due to prevailing financial constraints and the need to curtail public expenditure but the situation will be kept under review in the context of departmental Estimates for 1984.
