asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a reconstruction grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named at the address given. There is, however, an application from a person with the same name but with a different address (Edenoghall) and if this is the same person being referred to, a grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and all the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

An inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

Previous inspections in this case revealed that the house was not satisfactorily completed. The file has again been referred to the inspector for further inspection with a view to payment of the grant.
