asked the Minister for the Environment when building work will commence on the new bridge over the Blackwater at Mallow, County Cork, to carry the new road.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 222 and 223 together.
I have notified Cork County Council of a road grant allocation of £2 million for 1983 for continuation of the improvement works on the Cork-Mallow road.
The timing of the construction of the river bridge in Mallow will depend mainly on the rate of progress by the local authority in their considerations of the technical documents for the project.
