196.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a telephone service provided for a person (details supplied) in County Cork for business purposes.

Terms are being quoted to the person named and it is expected that service will be provided within about three months after the necessary agreement has been signed.

197.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the telephone exchange at Allihies, County Cork, will be converted to automatic.

In the first quarter of next year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a public telephone kiosk will be provided at Tragumna, Skibbereen, County Cork.

Tragumna is not included in this year's programme. It will be considered for inclusion in a future programme.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a stronger bell provided at the public telephone kiosk at Mill Street, Timoleague, County Cork, as the local residents state that they cannot hear it ringing at present.

There are no plans to fit a stronger bell to the public telephone at Mill Street. The bell on the telephone is standard and is fitted to all new public telephones. It is considered satisfactory for its purpose.
